Legal Agreement Placement Guidelines

1. Footer – Must-Have

• The Terms of Service and Privacy Policy links should be clearly included in the footer on every page of the website.
• Placement: Typically in the bottom-right or bottom-center area in a smaller font size for unobtrusive access.
• Text example:
• Terms of Service | Privacy Policy

2. Registration / Sign-Up Page – Must-Have

• On the user registration page, include a statement such as:
• “By creating an account, you agree to our [Terms of Service] and [Privacy Policy].”
• Ensure users must agree (via checkbox or clear wording) before creating an account.

3. Checkout / Payment Page – Must-Have

• On the checkout page for subscriptions, add a mandatory checkbox:
• “I agree to the [Terms of Service] and understand the [Privacy Policy].”
• This checkbox must not be pre-checked and should be required for order completion.

4. Help Center / Support Page – Recommended

• Include a small section at the bottom or a separate Legal Information area linking to:
• Terms of Service
• Privacy Policy

• Consider including a banner during first login or a footer note in system emails for additional visibility.
